In this Privacy Notice, we describe how we use personal information that you provide to us during the application process at https://www.tapestry.com/careers or other website, application or online service that we operate which includes a link to this Privacy Notice.
We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of the information we collect and to being transparent about the purposes for which we use your information. This Privacy Notice is not a contract and does not create any legal rights or obligations. This Privacy Notice also is not intended to replace other notices or disclosures we may provide to you in connection with your application for a job or eventual role in our organization, which will supersede any conflicting disclosures contained in this Privacy Notice.
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
When a person applies to join our team, we may collect the following categories of personal information. We collect and use this information only as permitted or required by, and in compliance with, law.
Contact Information, such as name, alias and other names, email address, telephone or mobile phone number, address, Social Security number, driver's license number or state ID card number, passport number, and other unique personal identifiers associated with you.
Education History & Qualifications, such as your highest level of education, the schools you attended and when you were in attendance, degrees, certificates or other educational qualifications you earned, and your transcripts or educational references.
Equal Opportunity Information, such as age, race, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability or accommodation request, or marital or veteran status when you choose to provide it, but it will not be used in the hiring decision unless specifically permitted by law.
Family information and emergency contact information, such as marital status, information about dependents or beneficiaries, and emergency contact details.
Financial information, such as previous or desired salary, bonus, benefits, expenses, and stock or equity grants.
Professional History & Qualifications, such as your previous employers, positions and work experience, board memberships, professional licenses, certificates or other qualifications, and employment references or referrals.
Recruitment information, which includes any information shared in the application process, including information from a cover letter, resume, application form or similar documentation. This may also include information such as employment history, education, skills, or any other details typical to the application and interview process.
Web-Related Information, such as technical details about your visit to our online services contained in log files or analytics data relating to your usage and activity on our online services.
Although we collect much of the personal information described above directly from you, we may also collect certain information from the references you provide, recruiters, job-related social media sites (such as LinkedIn), and other publicly available sources.
Purposes for Which Personal Information Is Used
We process your personal information for the following business purposes:
- Determining your eligibility for a position with the company, including processing your application, assessing your fit with us or for a specific role, conducting interviews, and keeping records related to our hiring process;
- Verifying the information provided to us in connection with your application or received from other sources;
- To facilitate the recruiting and interview process;
- Communicating with you about the status of your application or other opportunities with us that may be of interest to you;
- Protecting the health and safety of our personnel and visitors to our premises;
- Assessing compensation, benefits, and employment-related expenses;
- Protecting the company against illegal activity and other misconduct, including by detecting security incidents, protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, and prosecuting those responsible for that activity;
- Complying with our legal obligations, including those related to tax and anti-discrimination laws; and
- Other routine business purposes related to the recruitment process.
Sharing of Personal Information
We may disclose personal data we collect about you to other parties that may include the following:
- Third party service providers - We may share your personal information with third party service providers working on our behalf in order to facilitate our interactions with you or support the job application process.
- To our affiliates and subsidiaries – We may share your personal data within our group of companies, which includes parents, corporate affiliates, subsidiaries, business units and other companies that share common ownership for the purposes described above.
- For legal, security and safety purposes - We may have to share your personal data in response to authorized information requests of governmental authorities or where required by law. Such disclosure may, as appropriate, include exchanging information with other organizations, companies, auditors and governmental departments.
- In connection with a corporate transaction - As part of any merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or stock (including as part of any bankruptcy or similar proceedings), we may transfer your personal data to other parties involved in these transactions. Under these circumstances, all parties have entered into a confidentiality agreement and are obligated to protect any information provided as part of the transaction and not to use the personal data for any other purpose than the purpose it was collected for in the first instance.

Retention of Personal Information
We retain the information we collect as long as necessary to process your job application, schedule interviews, provide onboarding during the hiring process, manage our employment relationship with you, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Please note that if you receive and accept an offer for employment from us, we may transfer the personal information we collected about you during the recruiting and job application process to your personnel file with us.
California Residents
If you resident in California, we are required by California law to provide you with additional information about how we use and disclose your personal information. We have included this California-specific information below.

Consistent with Section 1 above, we may collect certain categories and specific pieces of personal information about California residents that are considered "Personal Information" under California law ("CA Personal Information"). Specifically, we may collect identifiers, characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law, commercial information, Internet or other electronic network activity information, professional or employment-related information, and education information.

- California Consumer Rights
Subject to legal limitations, California residents may exercise the following rights by contacting us through the contact information provided below:
- The Right to Know. You have the right to request information about the categories of CA Personal Information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected the CA Personal Information, the purposes for collecting the CA Personal Information, the categories of third parties with whom we have shared your CA Personal Information, and the purpose for which we shared your CA Personal Information. You may also request information about the specific pieces of CA Personal Information we have collected about you. You also have a right to receive information about the CA Personal Information about you that we have "sold" to or "shared" with (as such terms are defined under California law) third parties within the past 12 months.
- The Right to Correct or Delete CA Personal Information. You have the right to request that we correct or delete any of your CA Personal Information that we collected from you and retained, subject to statutory retention requirements and exceptions. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable request, we will correct or delete (and direct our service providers and contingent workers to correct or delete) your CA Personal Information, unless an exception applies, or law dictates us otherwise to retain your data.
- The Right to Data Portability. You have the right to request a transfer of your CA Personal Information to another entity to the extent technically feasible, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- The Right Against Retaliation for Exercising Your Rights (Non-Discrimination). Tapestry shall not retaliate against you because you exercised any of the rights in this section and in accordance with California law.
- The Right to Limit use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal information. Under California law, job applicants have a right to limit use and disclosure of sensitive CA Personal Information to certain enumerated business purposes.
- Right to Opt Out. You have the right to opt out of the sale and/or sharing of your CA Personal Information. However, we do not engage in the sale or sharing of CA Personal Information collected under this Privacy Notice.

Verification: In order to exercise your rights, we will need to obtain information to locate you in our records or verify your identity depending on the nature of the request.
Authorized Agents: To the extent that you elect to designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, they must provide appropriate documentation including written signed permission from you, proof of your identity, and verification of their identity; or a valid, designated power of attorney as defined under the California Probate Code.
Tapestry, Inc. or any of its affiliated companies do not engage in sale or sharing of your personal data as those terms are defined under California law.
